The global food system faces unprecedented challenges, with 828 million people worldwide suffering from hunger in 2021 (FAO). Black communities, particularly in developing regions, are disproportionately affected by food insecurity due to systemic inequities, climate change, and economic instability.
Food security is not just about ending hunger; it is about ensuring access to nutritious, sufficient, and sustainable food for all. Investing in sustainable agriculture, reducing food waste, and building resilient food systems are key to addressing this crisis.
